2012 Gift Guide

by

I always feel a bit overwhelmed when I start thinking about what to buy my girls for Christmas. Hopefully some of the ideas below will help provide some ideas on gifts for all of the kids on your list!

Blingles™ Bling Studio

My girls happen to be “girly” girls and love all things that sparkle and shine. That’s why my older will be receiving Blingles™. The Bling Studio is low mess (important in my book) and allows kids to create designs to decorate everything from backpacks to phones to accessories and more.  The no-mess Bling Studio makes it easy to bling up your phone, laptop, accessories and more! Simply design it, roll it and Bling It! www.MyBlingles.com

Bendit and Temple Trap

Games that make kids think are a staple in the Sarver girls stockings. From Smart Toys come two that fit the bill! Bendit is a unique puzzle game that shows the final solution for each of the 60 challenges. After selecting a challenge, players must look for color patterns to determine which balls are connected and how – bending all the puzzle pieces and clicking them into new positions to find the solution. In Temple Trap players must work their way through a cursed labyrinth to solve this 3-D sliding single player IQ-building game. The game’s 48 challenges are sure to entertain. www.smarttangoes.com

Hello Kitty Tervis Tumblers

I loved Hello Kitty as a girl, and I love the fact that she is still around! She recently debuted on Tervis drinkware. If you aren’t familiar with Tervis products, their cups keep hot, hot and cold, cold! Made in America, they are almost unbreakable, as well as microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe. The new Hello Kitty collection will be available in four unique wrap-a-round designs in Tervis' 10oz, 10oz wavy and 16oz sizes and come with coordinating pink lids. The adorable designs feature the classic Hello Kitty with signature bow. Tervis.com

Merry Mint Pup and Small Frys

My younger, Ally, collects stuffed animals. Needless to say we have A LOT. One of her most favorite places to visit is Build-a-Bear Workshop (and we can’t get out of there in under an hour). I am guaranteed a homerun when she opens the Merry Mint pup. He’s so soft and I know she’ll love the holiday decorated dog (since she will NEVER have a real dog). For stockings, look into their Small Frys, smaller versions of their products. Buildabear.com

Travel Blurt

We make many trips to St. Louis to visit with family, thus spending much time in the car. While movies keep the girls busy for a while, I like to have other activities to help pass the time. Travel Blurt is a portable version of the game Blurt. The object of Blurt!? is to be the first person to blurt out the correct word. You've got to think fast! You know the answer? Blurt it out before your opponents do! What's the word for the last car on a freight train? Caboose! Lots of fun for entire family! EducationalInsights.com

Mario and Yoshi Radio-Controlled Kart

My nephew loves all things Mario. These karts are tons of fun! Take the controls of a real Mario kart and experience all the excitement of kart racing in your own living room. I know that there will be lots of races between Mario and Yoshi this year at our family celebration! Amazon.com

Digital Light Designer and Marker Airbrush Set

Crayola is a staple in our home as my girls love all things arts crafts. Two new products from them are the Digital Light Designer in which kids can draw anywhere on this round surface. You can even add cool effects to your drawings or create awesome animations. Create and save your favorite drawings and personal messages to display later. There’s also a game and activity mode for hours and hours of creative, light drawing fun! The Crayola Marker Airbrush set includes markers--eight for paper and four for fabric--are pressurized by an airbrush machine to spray ink, giving kids a fun new way to use markers. Crayola.com
