I'll Tell You What I Want, What I Really, Really Want

Shopping and Christmas presents are on my mind this week. My mom comes in town for one week each December to watch the girls so that I can knock out the majority of my Christmas shopping. She’s been here all this week and I’ve got the bulk of it finished. The girls love having the time with grandma, I love being able to get the shopping done and my husband and I take full advantage of having a built-in sitter for a week.

While out to dinner this week, Ty asked me what I wanted for Christmas. Here’s what I really want for the holidays-one day (I’d take more than one, but I’ll settle for just one!) where every aspect of my life is caught up. The laundry is clean, ironed, folded AND put away, the floors are mopped, the house dusted, bathrooms and bedrooms straightened and cleaned. Bills are paid, paperwork is filed, emails are answered, doctors’ appointments are scheduled, gifts are bought and wrapped, kids are clean, meals are decided upon. I feel like instead of being ahead of the game, I am playing catch-up most of the time and so if anyone out there has the magic wand I can wave to get everything in order for just one day, send it my way!

What intangible gift would you like to come your way this holiday season?
