Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch: Family Fun Tips

Since 1991, Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch has been a beloved fall tradition for KC kids. Families enjoy a variety of attractions including a hayride to the pumpkin patch, petting zoo, carousel, jack o' lantern jumping pillow, pedal karts, giant slides, fun photo ops, and lots of great places to play! Every year the patch gets better and better. 

I love the new layout this year as the attractions are closer together and the flow is more cohesive and connected. New attractions, like Zack the singing Tractor, are delightful!

Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch in Liberty (formerly known as Carolyn's Country Cousins) is open five days a week until Halloween (closed on Tuesdays, and only open for field-trips on Wednesdays).

Over the years, we've visited during the week and on weekends. We always have a great time, but I'm partial to weekends when we enjoy live entertainment, watch Uncle Lester's Pig Races, and the pumpkin cannon and the entire atmosphere of the patch is festive! Weekdays are great if you want to enjoy a more relaxing visit without the crowds.

In addition to the fun attractions, Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch is also known for its delicious pumpkin donuts (my personal favorite!) and apple cider slushes. You can also enjoy other delicious concessions. We packed a picnic to enjoy lunch on the farm this year.

Our family loves this patch as a fantastic multi-generational outing. Grandparents, cousins, and friends enjoy spending time together at this outdoor attraction. With a wide variety of play areas, delicious food, and live entertainment on the weekends, this is a fall favorite. 

What to know about Carolyn's Pumpkin Patch 2023:

• Every admission this year includes a train ride, the Mega Slide, and a carousel ride.
• Bring money to feed animals in the petting zoo, and purchase pumpkins, souvenirs, pumpkin donuts, cider slushes, and delicious goodies.
• On weekends enjoy live entertainment, pig races, and pumpkin cannon shows!

Our Pumpkin Patch Tips:

• Wear layers. It is often chilly early or late in the day but can warm up as the sun shines around noon. 
• Wear comfy shoes for playing on a farm. Tennis shoes, rubber boots, or farm boots work.
• Remember sunglasses and sunscreen.
• Take photos!
• Come rested. Plan your visit around nap times.
• We usually spend half to full day playing at Carolyn's.

My girls LOVE the Bubble Barn where kids use wands to make GIANT bubbles, the barnyard arcade games, playgrounds, fort, and other creative places to play!

Farm Games Phone App: When you arrive, you'll find a poster with instructions to download the Farm Games App. Participate in a scavenger hunt around the patch and scan the numbers as you locate them. When you scan the number, an animated farm animal will pop up on your phone so you can take a photo!
