Baby Fever

I've got baby fever. My sister had her first August 19 and my sister-in-law had her fourth on August 31, both boys. And they are SO cute! I was able to go to St. Louis after my sister's baby was born and spent the entire weekend holding and snuggling with Thomas. This weekend, we'll head back to St. Louis to see Thomas and to meet Charlie and I am so excited. I forgot just how tiny newborns are and they are so cuddly! I love when the lay on your chest and fall asleep and I love the way new babies smell. I even love that newborn cry. I have to admit, it makes me think twice about having just one more.

But then I think of the sleeplessness, worry, stress and all that other stuff that comes with new babies. And they don't stay babies forever. I think of trips to the emergency room, the tantrums, the talking back and the attitude. And I think for now I'm awfully content to hold my nephews and then send them back to their mommies.
