Addressing Adults

What do your children call other adults? As a child we always referred to another adult by the appropriate title and then last name (Mr. Smith, Mrs. Block, etc). We were taught that this was the proper way to address an adult, with the only exception being if the adult we were addressing asked us to call them by another name. So that's what I've taught my girls. It seems to me like there are many adults these days who prefer to be called by their first name and in return, many children who call me by my first name. Anyone else notice this trend? How do you handle it in your home?
