Tips for a Fun and Fabulous Girls' Night In

by

When you hear “Party City,” what comes to mind? My first thought is “birthday parties for kids,” and my second is “over the hill party supplies.” Both are accurate and great reasons to visit Party City, but did you know they also have supplies for hosting your own Girls’ Night party? I didn’t until I recently attended a Girls’ Night In thrown by Party City that showcased many of the supplies they have to offer to help make your ladies only event one-of-a-kind.

Party City has partnered with celebrity event and home stylist Tara Riceberg to help ladies everywhere throw Girls’ Night In parties that match their budgets but, more importantly, mirror their personal style. With a variety of items from invitations to faux bling and hot pink feather boas, Party City can help any frugal friend stay within her budget with items ranging from 99 cents to $50.00.

Tara made over the event room into a girls’ night haven using bright pink paper fluffy bouquets intermixed with silver and black accents that showered the room. Ribbons of hot pink, black and white in various patterns and sizes framed spaces along an accent wall, creating a girly backdrop for the decadent dessert table.

Decorating for the event doesn’t need to be elaborate or break the bank. Tara suggests using ribbons or paper streamers on the wall to transform the room. Be sure to choose a variety of ribbons that coordinate with the overall theme. You can create an accent wall by simply “framing” a wall in your home, incorporating ribbons in various shapes and sizes.

What’s a girls’ party without the bling? Tara suggests “blinging” out the party space with decorative items, but more importantly, bling out the guests with fun hats, sashes, boas and faux gigantic diamonds… after all, they are a girl’s best friend. I can’t even begin to describe how much fun a room full of grown women had using the different items to “dress-up.” Why should the kids have all the fun? In addition, use accessories like bling rings as napkin rings or martini glass charms, which guests can also wear as a bling ring for late night festivities.

So, what are you waiting for? Call up some friends, schedule a time and enjoy a fabulous Girls’ Night In!
