Lakeshore Learning at Merriam Town Center

Today, my girls and I headed out to Lakeshore Learning Materials in Merriam to check out the store and the Grand Opening Celebration. This is the newest educational toy store in the metro and it offers a vast inventory of quality toys, games, and educational supplies perfect for school, home, homeschool, church, scouts, and day cares. Tempting products line every shelf! The store features art supplies, educational games and kits for reading, math, and science, toys, and school supplies.

Teachers (including homeschoolers) receive 15% off most items, member-only offers, self-serve 29cent/ linear foot lamination, and free teacher workshops every month. For instance, on Mar. 20 from 6-7pm they are offering a Wild Animals: Exploring Kids' Favorite Creatures workshop for teachers. Visit the Teacher's Club page for more information!

For the Grand Opening Event, stations are set up throughout the store for customers and children to try products. Some of these displays are permanent, like the computer station that allows you to try out their educational software before you buy it!

As I browsed the shelves, I found many products I have considered previously in catalogs or online. It was great to see the products firsthand and even find so many on display to touch and play with in order to determine what was best for my kids and our homeschool classroom. It was also great to find educational games and resources covering topics we are currently covering at a local store. I am definitely a Lakeshore fan and I'm very happy to now have this store so close to home!

The store is stocked with a wide variety of educational toys for infants, preschool, and elementary age students. 

Their inventory of science kits, games, and books for experiments goes on for several aisles! A Mecca for elementary science teachers.

The store stocks a variety of art materials and projects, including bulk projects perfect for classrooms, church groups, scout leaders, and birthday parties! I was impressed with the variety of puppet kits, cardboard castle and tree house projects, and other craft kits that are perfect for groups of children (or individuals!).
