Dogs on the Titanic

Branson is a great destination for those who want to take a vacation but don’t want to travel too far from Kansas City. With so many great family-friendly attractions, it is perfect for families with children of all ages. In the midst of all the family fun you’ll enjoy in Branson, add an educational component to your next visit. Make plans to visit The World’s Largest TITANIC Museum. It is Branson’s #1 year-round family attraction. In operation for three years, it has already welcomed aboard more than 1.6 million guests.

The 17,000-square-foot ship-shaped structure – built half-scale to the original Titanic – towers more than 100 feet above its anchored position on Highway 76. New to the Museum this spring are Mighty Mascots Carter and Molly — a loveable pair of King Charles Spaniels that pay tribute to the dogs that sailed on the ship. Today, pets aren’t allowed on most cruise lines, but back in the days of the Titanic, pets often traveled by ship. In fact, 10 dogs were known to be on board the Titanic. When visiting the Museum, you can say hello to Molly and Carter, learn about the owners of the Titanic canines and participate in a dog education program just for children. Family fun with an educational component-what could be better?
