18th & Vine Arts Festival 2025

Bring the whole family to the 18th & Vine Arts Festival — September 26–28, 2025 — for a weekend of art, music, food, and fun in Kansas City’s historic Jazz District.

🎨 Kids can enjoy interactive art, games, and a special Kids Zone.
🎶 Live music, DJs, and dance performances fill the stages.
🍴 Delicious eats from local food trucks plus family-friendly culinary games.
👗 A vibrant fashion showcase and Black cinema screenings highlight culture and style.

The festival is family-friendly and free to attend (food and vendor purchases optional). Come experience Kansas City’s creativity, culture, and community in one of its most iconic neighborhoods!

Trunk or Treat

Join us for a free and safe trunk or treat event hosted by Inspired Play Cafe, Bright Sky Therapy, and more! See details in the graphic and come celebrate Halloween with us! This event is held outside. Open play is available for a cost of $14.50/child ages 6 months to 10 years. You do not have to purchase open play to attend this event.

Child of Hope

Returning just in time for Christmas, Störling Dance Theater’s Child of Hope tells the miraculous story of Jesus’ birth, captivating audiences with authentic characters, stunning choreography, hauntingly beautiful music and befitting sets and costumes.

Crown Center Ice Terrace (2025-2026 season)

Kansas City’s original public, outdoor ice skating rink celebrates its 53rd season of great skating fun. Enjoy public ice skating seven days a week (see hours below; closed on Christmas Day) from Nov. 7, 2025, to March 8, 2026.

Admission is $10 for Adults and Children 4 years and older. Children under age 4 are FREE with paid adult admission. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Skate rental is $6.

A season pass is available for $140.

Two “Learn to Skate” sessions will be held on Sunday mornings; advance registration required.

Group rates and private parties are available.

Hallmark Christmas Experience

Each weekend (Nov 28 – Dec. 21), join us at Crown Center in Kansas City, right outside of Hallmark’s headquarters, for the Hallmark Christmas Experience—a free, open-to-the-public, immersive experience with all the charm of a Hallmark movie town square.

Everyone can shop the holiday market on Crown Center Square; enjoy nightly lightings of the Mayor’s Christmas Tree complete with new light shows; enjoy savory eats, sweet treats and holiday drinks at the Festive Food Hall; and spread joy at the Card-Sending Station.

Ticketed events include Hallmark Stars on Stage; Create & Learn with Hallmark Artists & Writers; Dining, Drinks & More; and the Light Walk on Crown Center Square with plenty of photo-worthy spots along the way.
