I always look forward to Flags for Freedom in Merriam. Every year we head out for photos in a field of 2000+ American Flags, brightly waving in the sunshine. I love the patriotic display celebrating America and honoring the brave who have defended our freedom for centuries. The display is unparalleled in Kansas City and it is a magnificent tribute to our freedom as Americans.
Flags for Freedom thru July 6, 2013: 5740 Merriam Drive (west of I-35 on Johnson Dr., then north on Merriam Dr.).
