Tips for a Family Fun Day at Legends Outlets
We are fortunate to live close to Legends Outlets. Why? Not only do they have tons of great outlet shopping, but they have many family-friendly destinations and events all year long. Whether you live close by or not so close, plan a family fun day at the Legends with the tips below:
- Arrive hungry! Not only are the lots of restaurant choices (Stix being a favorite of the Sarver girls), but there are also many snack choices. I can’t head to the Legends without a pretzel from Auntie Anne’s! Note: Auntie Anne’s doesn’t have any indoor seating, so enjoy a pretzel on an outdoor bench on a nice day or take one to go on a more dreary day.
- Take time to browse! While I often head to the Legends to pick up a specific item, I always end up spending more time, looking through the books and games at BAM (Books A Million) or finding a great bargain at TJ Maxx.
- Check the Legends website for events. It seems as most every weekend there’s something fun happening. We spend lots of Saturdays during the summer enjoying live music at the Legends from local bands. You’ll find a long list of holiday happenings as well.
- Park in the garage, up top. I’ve never had trouble finding a space. Even when there are cars as far as the eye can see, head to the garage and drive to the top. You’ll almost always find a spot there. In a hurry? Use their valet service, only $5.
- Plan a date night! Lots of great entertainment for adults as well. Ty and I enjoy an evening at Dave and Busters (by the way, I rock at the D & B trivia) and Stanford’s Comedy Club is a fun option as well.
- Learn something new! The name, Legends, wasn’t just a random choice. Throughout the complex, you’ll find info on many Kansas Legends (more than 80 are represented!). Visit the Legends Outlets website to learn more (and to download a fun scavenger hunt for kids).
