8th Annual Pee Wee’s Walk
Pee Wee’s Walk – A Community Walk for Hope and Healing
Join KC Mothers in Charge for the 8th Annual Pee Wee’s Walk, a family-friendly community walk supporting Kansas City families affected by homicide and violent loss.
Named in honor of Antonio “Pee Wee” Thompson, the son of KC Mothers in Charge founder Rosilyn Temple, this event brings families and neighbors together to remember loved ones and support those navigating grief after violence.
Proceeds support trauma-informed services for families, including crisis response and support groups. Families, teams, and community supporters are all welcome to walk.
Together, we walk for hope and healing in Kansas City.
Opening Day at Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead
Make memories at the Farm!
Celebrate the start of the season with farm animals, activities, play areas and family fun at this beloved local attraction! Deanna Rose Children’s Farmstead is the perfect place to learn, grow and have fun. Visit more than 250 animals, learn about growing flowers and food, experience Native American Kanza history, visit a one-room schoolhouse and take a stroll through Main Street to the fishing pond.

Raytown’s 14th Annual Egg-Extravaganza
An easter egg hunt starts at 1pm on the greenspace. Before the egg hunt, at 11 am watch the community parade, followed by story time at the library at noon.
Easter Family Fun Week
Hop on over to inspireU for a special week of play presented by S.A. Simpson Trust! Children ages 0-5 have free general admission from Saturday, March 21 through Saturday, March 28.
