Oceans of Fun Opening Day
Star Wars Day
Our powers have doubled since the last time we met. Star Wars™ Day is back in a big way!
We’re turning The K into a Star Wars™ fan’s dream on Saturday, May 23, when the boys in blue battle the Seattle Mariners. And celebrate with a brand new, out-of-this-galaxy Royals Grogu bobblehead with the purchase of a theme ticket. Look for your favorite Star Wars™ characters along the main concourse and a Star Wars™ photo op inside Gate A!
Royals Grogu Bobblehead will ONLY be distributed inside Gate A. Please arrive prior to the 2nd inning to pick up the item. Gate A will open at 1:30 p.m., and only individuals who present a Star Wars Day theme ticket purchased through this link will receive a bobblehead.
To purchase 15 or more tickets, please contact Zachary Everts at 816-504-4178 or email zachary.everts@royals.com.
Bark at the Park
Bark at the Park is our series of nights at The K with fan’s best friend. This year we are turning the Hall of Fame Pavilion into a paw-some “off-leash” TAILgate, powered by CITYDOGs. Come early, swing through exhibitor row, and hang out with all the four-legged friends.
- BATP # 1 – Wednesday, April 1
- BATP #2 – Wednesday, May 6
- BATP #3 – Wednesday, September 23
Entrance for Bark at the Park is only accessible through Gate A. Gate A will open at 5:00 p.m., and only individuals who present a Bark at the Park theme ticket purchased through this link will be permitted.
Nelson- Atkins Museum of Art Juneteenth Celebration
As part of city-wide observances and in partnership with JuneteenthKC, the free Juneteenth Celebration honors the enduring contributions of African Americans with a full day of festivities, including live music and dancing, storytelling performances, and educational experiences in the museum’s galleries.
About Juneteenth
Also known as Freedom Day, Juneteenth is an abbreviation of “June nineteenth” and honors the emancipation of people who were enslaved, which was announced by executive order in Texas on June 19, 1865. The history of freedom and equal rights after emancipation is long and complex — and still being written today.
