We’ve hit November and seem to have jumped straight from fall into the holiday season. Turn on the radio and you hear Christmas Carols, visit Starbucks and you can order a gingerbread latte. It’s all well and good with me-I’m knee-deep in our December issue, so it seems natural to be around all things holiday. I know for some, it’s too much, too soon, but it really doesn’t bother me.
As I was writing my December editor’s letter, I was thinking about all of the fun holiday activities that are offered around town. And then I got to thinking about all of the things I’ve wanted to do, but can’t ever seem to find the time for, like going to watch the fireworks at Christmas in the Sky at Longview Lake on the night before Thanksgiving, going to the Luminary Walk at the Overland Park Arboretum and visiting the Fairy Princess.
Because I can’t do it all (as much as I try), what holiday events around town do you recommend? Since I know I can’t hit them all, I want to be sure and hit some of the “don’t miss” holiday events.
