Birds: Nests Are the Best!

Registration required (ages 5-12) Many birds have returned to Missouri for spring - the best time to get busy building nests! Join a naturalist on a hike to discover the amazing variety of nests built by different kids of birds. From cavities in trees to platforms of sticks and carefully woven cups, a bird's nest is designed to protect eggs and nestlings from all kids of danger. We'll investigate real bird nests and use our inspiration to create our own decorative bird nests out of natural materials like grass, mud, feathers and more!
