Join us for a night of music with this year’s Christmas concert entitled “My Soul Magnifies The Lord.” We will look back to that first Christmas through Mary’s Song of Praise to God found in Luke 1:46-55. In Latin, this song is called the Magnificat and many composers have had the opportunity to write music throughout the millennia. We will explore five different settings from composers such as Bach, Tallis, and Rachmaninoff.
In addition, we will have a multitude of traditional Christmas carols and sing-alongs that will not only get everyone in the Christmas spirit, but will add the depth and richness of the text that we will be focusing on. Join us for a time of jubilant celebration as we remember the miraculous birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! www.knoxchurch.org
