Summer fun at Wornall/Majors
Drop-in History Fridays are an opportunity for children to explore social studies topics in an authentic historic setting. In response to the COVID-19 crisis, we are now offering “mini camps” for Summer 2020. These smaller drop-in sessions will allow us to observe enhanced sanitation, as well as offer a low-cost educational option for parents. We will abide by any gathering size limits in place at the time of each session.
June 12 – Interacting with Our Environment
Location: John Wornall House (6115 Wornall Rd., KCMO 64113)
When settlers arrived on the frontier, they made a significant impact on the local ecosystem. Explore the environment as the Wornall family would have interacted with it – from water management to observing native plants and animals.
