On Friday, July 10, 2020, to celebrate National Kitten Day, Great Plains SPCA will deliver kitten love to lucky recipients across the Kansas City metro area. From 9:00am-2:00pm, Great Plains SPCA volunteers will deliver Kittengrams to recipients to play with and snuggle for 15-30 minutes. Kittengrams may be delivered to businesses within 25 minutes of Great Plains SPCA’s Merriam campus. Kittengrams will be available for purchase starting Saturday, July 27 at 8:00am. Animal lovers may purchase one of a limited number of Kittengrams at greatplainsspca.org. The purchase is a taxdeductible donation that supports Great Plains SPCA’s mission to help community pets. Prices start at $75 for 15 minutes of kitten time. Great Plains SPCA’s Chief Executive Officer, Tam Singer, said, “Kittengrams are a special way to lift everyone’s spirits during these truly unprecedented times. A bonus is that your Kittengram purchase supports our life-saving work and will have double the impact during our ‘Lend A Paw’ donation match campaign.” Now through July 21, all donations to Great Plains SPCA, including Kittengram purchase donations up to $150,000 will be matched by a generous donor. Kittengram kittens will be made available for adoption at 2:00pm on Friday, July 10 on a first-come first-served basis at Great Plains SPCA’s Pet Adoption Center located at 5424 Antioch Drive in Merriam, Kansas. It is recommended that potential adopters arrive early as it is anticipated that demand for these kittens will be high.
