Independence Days Celebration: Lansing
to
Kenneth W. Bernard Community Park 15650 Gilman Rd., Lansing, Kansas 66043
On Friday, Sept. 4, and Saturday, Sept. 5, Lansing will celebrate its first Independence Days Celebration! There will be fireworks displays on both nights at approximately 9:00 pm.
The displays will be unique, combining lights, sound and fireworks. Friday will feature a rock and roll themed display. A larger patriotic themed display will be on Saturday. Bring your lawn chairs when you come out!
The 2020 celebration will take place at Bernard Park, 15650 Gilman Road, located north of 4-H Road about 2.5 miles west of Main Street (K-7 Highway). Parking at Bernard Park is $1 on Saturday evening.
The field opens to the public at 5:15 p.m both evenings. There will be motorcycle and ADA parking on the field, near the display area. There will be free parking and a shuttle from Lansing High School for both evenings. Remember, because of the nature of the display, it is best viewed from Bernard Park.
The last shuttle from LHS is at 8:30 p.m., and the gates close at 8:45 p.m. Please be patient after the event, there are a lot of cars and only one exit. Staff and police officers do the best they can to get everyone out of the park.
More details will be available as the event gets closer.
