Anita B. Gorman Discovery Center 4750 Troost Ave., Kansas City, Missouri
Registration required (ages 12+) In the dead of winter, ice lights (or ice candles) can add life and luminosity to the darkest and coldest nights of the year. This Scandanavian tradition beautifully combines the natural elements of fire and ice to create the perfect winter luminary. You will learn how to make a mold using a bucket or milk carton while filling the container with natural decorations like leaves and pinecones and then filling it with water to set outside and freeze. Add a candle or string lights and brighten your winter nights. If accommodations are needed, please e-mail the instructor after registering and at least one week prior to the program.
