It’s almost that time of year again! Mark your calendars for the family & environmentally friendly Pumpkin Smash 2022! All ages welcome!! Bring your own smashing tool or use one of ours!

The Pumpkin Smash is CCKC's annual effort to help communities divert pumpkins from landfills by providing a location for residents to drop-off jack-o-lanterns to be composted and/or SMASH THEM for fun! The event is held each year at Urbavore Urban Farm (just 10 minutes from the Country Club Plaza) the week after Halloween.

Tour the farm and our composting facility, grab a beer provided by Transport Brewery or some hot cider and enjoy the cathartic release of smashing your own jack-o-lanterns! @urbavorefarm @transportbrewery

DON'T TRASH IT, SMASH IT!

Pumpkins that end up in landfill will decompose and eventually emit methane – a greenhouse gas with more than 20 times the warming effect of carbon dioxide!

**The chickens and hogs LOVE to be fed pumpkin scraps and seeds;)
