Embark on a journey through the Gardens with Trail Tales, a literacy-in-nature project. Follow the children's story Cricket in the Thicket through the Heartland Harvest and Children’s Gardens, and enjoy interactive children's activities that bring the poems to life.
Visit September 12 and show your Mid-Continent Public Library card (only one per family is needed) to receive free garden admission. This special day will include a book signing with the author of Cricket in the Thicket, Carol Murray, and a craft activity creating insect-themed adornments.
