Virtual Lenexa Spinach Festival
Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park 87th Street Parkway & Lackman Road, Lenexa, Kansas 66215
Normally for the Spinach Festival, we'd get together for a day packed with fun activities for the whole family in celebration of Lenexa’s history and heritage as the "Spinach Capital of the World" in the 1930s. Since it is not safe to gather in large crowds this year, we have come up with a fun new way to celebrate with the Virtual Spinach Festival. Activities include:
- Spinach recipes and cooking
- History and trivia quizzes
- Old-fashioned games/challenges (participants eligible for prize drawings)
- Craft/antique vendors online (Connect on your own with the vendors who were planning to be at the festival.)
Follow this event page for details about how you can participate. Spinach Festival Coordinator Susanne Neely is your guide!
Also, check out beautiful Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park (location of the Spinach Festival in normal times) on your own and enjoy the unique playgrounds, fishing in the pond, picnic spaces, trails, the Legler Barn Museum and much more!
