My husband and I recently enjoyed a live show by The Mystery Players of Kansas City and it left us laughing! The Mystery Players perform at local restaurants and venues (we caught a show at Dave & Buster's at the Legends), and even private functions (think office party or family celebration). Since 1987, Murder Mystery Players, Inc. "has been killing guests with laughter" through live shows that mix audience participation with scripted entertainment.
Guests enjoy a delicious dinner and soon discover that some of their dining companions are worth noticing. The dining room is the setting for the crime and the players dine along with you as they banter, brawl, and clue drop. The mysteries are tailored for the audience with locally themed jokes peppering the production.
One perk to dining with suspects, victims, and accomplices is the opportunity to question them firsthand as you try to discover the solution to the crime. The trick? Try to determine who is and who isn't telling the truth! Each table works together to solve the crime, with the table most accurately solving the mystery receiving a reward.
The shows are full of laughs and gags and the price is right at just $36.95/each (including dinner). Recommended for teens and adults.
