I know they say that man can not live on bread alone. That's why they invented pizza.
The folks at SPIN! take a most delicious flatbread, top it with one of two sauces, hand grated cheeses and other unique toppers, and present you with a full meal deal that will leave you wishing you had leftovers for a late night snack or tomorrow's lunch!
Place your order and have a seat. Enjoy sitting indoors or out, and take in the décor that my dining companions described as an urban hotspot in the ‘burbs. While you relax, the most wonderful brick oven-baked European style pizza is being made fresh for your enjoyment.
I highly recommend their spinach salad ($7.95) which is served with goat cheese, caramelized onions, glazed pecans and roasted grape tomatoes. The flatbread and white bean hummus ($4.25) was the perfect partner to our salads and the kids loved nibbling on the flavorful flatbread while we waited for the rest of our meal.
But what you really want to know about is the ‘za! ‘Spin' your own by choosing from a long list of cheeses, veggies and meats or try one of their 13 specialty pizzas. There was not a trace of the Cipolla e Chevre (Roasted & caramelized onion with goat cheese) ($10.25) left on the platter, so clearly it was a hit, even with our youngest diners. In an effort to order something more traditional we also enjoyed the Italian sausage pizza, also topped with caramelized onions. ($10.95) You might be wondering about the frequent presence of caramelized onions. They are a delicious addition to many of their dishes and you'll hear nary a complaint from this happy diner!
I signed up for their rewards club since we plan to be back again soon. On Mondays they have a special for club members- buy two carry out pizzas and get one free!
Local pottery aficionados will recognize and appreciate the custom made Michael Smith serving platters. BEAUTIFUL! They'd make a bundle if they sold these stunning plates to their customers!
Parents can enjoy wine from the menu or bring a bottle from home and pay a small corking fee. There are ten flavors of ice cream, or gelatto, as they call it. I'll have to take their word that it's tasty. Try as I might, I haven't had room for dessert after two recent visits to SPIN!
