• Plan ahead of time
• Schedule a haircut for your child two weeks before picture day.
• Limit sun exposure in the days leading up to picture day.
• Trim and clean nails as hands may show in some posing options.
• Dress with the photo background in mind
• Choose solid-colored clothing with simple patterns or no patterns.
• Long-sleeved shirts in solid colors are the best option.
• If you choose a lighter background for your student's photo, consider dressing in softer shades.
• Medium to dark shades create a timeless look.
• Select small accessories that do not detract, such as simple earrings, pins or necklaces.
• Talk to your kids about how important a great picture is to you.
• Make it fun for your child by being excited and supportive.
• Show your children their growth by bringing out photos from previous school years.
